Founded in 1989, Los Angeles Pacific College (LAPC) has been providing an innovative Business Training Program in Accounting and Business Operation for Small Business Owners as part of a California State-funded program for over twelve years with no-cost to eligible participants. LAPC is accredited by the Council on Occupational Studies, nationally recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

Participating in the Small Business Owner Training Program is a great opportunity for you to gain essential knowledge and skills in managing your business.


Courses Taught

The Small Business Training Program Offers:

  • Retirement Planning
  • Business Tax Information and Preparation: Sales Tax, City Business Tax, Payroll Tax, Form 571-L Business Property Tax, Form Schedule C for Business Income Tax, and Self-Employment Tax.
  • Accounting: Accounting Cycle and Financial Statements
  • Accounting Software: QuickBooks Premiere Version
  • Optional Course* Covering College Education Funding for:
    • Child's Tax Advantage Programs
    • Financial Aid Programs


Who Qualifies

Who Qualifies?

  • At least one full-time employee on payroll
  • No more than 9 full-time employees on payroll
  • Non-profit organization does not qualify

Classes are available Saturdays or weekday evenings.
